Enrollment Requirements

Before beginning your beauty journey with The Skin & Beauty Academy, please review the following requirements to ensure you’re eligible to enroll. These guidelines help us maintain compliance with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and prepare every student for success.

 

📋 General Requirements

  • Must be at least 17 years of age

  • Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID

  • Must provide a Social Security Number (or proof of eligibility)

  • Must submit a completed enrollment application and pay any required registration fees

 

🧾 Documentation

  • Proof of residency or mailing address

  • Completed school enrollment agreement

  • Signed Notice of Potential Ineligibility for License (as required by TDLR)

 

🎓 Student Permit

  • Students are required to hold a TDLR Student Permit while in training

  • The academy will assist with permit registration at the time of enrollment

 

⚖️ Background Disclosure

  • Applicants with a criminal history must disclose it before enrolling

  • Eligibility for licensure will be reviewed by TDLR prior to graduation
