Ashley Carter — Visionary. Educator. Entrepreneur.

 

Every great academy begins with a story — and Ashley Carter’s story is one of resilience, reinvention, and relentless passion for beauty. What started as a young girl’s fascination with hair and makeup grew into a lifelong mission to help others see— and create — beauty in themselves and the world around them.

From her early days experimenting with styles in her bedroom mirror to mastering advanced skincare techniques, Ashley has always believed in the power of transformation. In 2016, that belief took shape when she founded DollHouse Glam & Cosmetic Studio near Houston’s Galleria area — a boutique beauty space where creativity met confidence. Her dedication quickly attracted a loyal clientele, but when unforeseen challenges came her way, Ashley made one of the bravest moves an entrepreneur can make —she chose to evolve rather than give up.

 By 2020, she reimagined her brand and launched The Skin Bar Med Spa, a modern sanctuary dedicated to skin health, empowerment, and education. That evolution didn’t just mark a new business chapter— it set the foundation for something even greater: The Skin & Beauty Academy.

Today, Ashley stands as the Owner and Director of an academy that’s transforming how beauty education is experienced in Houston. Her vision is clear: to create a space where future estheticians, nail techs, lash artists, and beauty professionals can learn, row, and build legacies of their own. Through her leadership, The Skin & Beauty Academy blends hands-on learning with business mentorship — because Ashley knows from experience that mastering your craft is only part of success. True growth happens when you’re taught how to lead, brand, and believe in yourself.
